are you ready for some football

gee i wonder who ben and joe cheer for when it comes to their nfl teams? I tell everyone that in the off chance we go for baby #3 and its a boy, i buy all of samantha's raider gear in silver and black so they'll be passed down to lil charlie. anytime samantha sees the raiders emblem, she starts yelling "go raiders!!" "touchdown raiders!!" So far I've taught her the signals for touchdown, timeout, holding, false start, 1st down and personal foul. And now when her dad wear's anything raiders, she wants to be dressed in her raider gear. i know, i know, i feed into the madness, but its just so gosh darn cute!!

hannahjoekim

that's basically the name of every toy my lil samantha plays with......she's obsessed, I can't deter her, its actually quite amusing, even though I'll hear it a good 100x/day. I'm so lucky/happy that my mom is watching both hannah and samantha because its preparing her for the big day of her lil sis' arrival. Crazy lil hannah started becoming mobile around 6months but now is this close to walking. She not only pulls herself up on anything (including samantha and her hair), she tries to climb over everything. No matter how high she gets she still throws her knee up to go higher...its too cute.

So now that hannah is even more mobile, samantha interactively plays with her, the other day my mom said, that they played together for about 2 hours. Samantha will yell to hannah, "hannah follow me!", "hannah this way", "throw the toy this way"..........and hannah, even though she's only 8 months old, goes along with any instructions blurted out. The two giggle all day long together.....

Ruby is expecting too!!

And she's exactly 1 week ahead of me..... Who would have ever guessed that we would have been pregnant at the same time, or that she would have been pregnant at all. Life's little miracles never cease to amaze me. I'm so happy for her that she gets to live thru the experience of pregnancy and eventually meet this one little person, that in one sec will change her life forever, for the better.
She already knows its a little boy and I'm praying EVERYDAY that, aside from being healthy of course, that he comes out with curly black hair (a lil afro..........ohhh too cute!!). I can't wait to meet you jase and to see how much of a terror you and julian will be together!!

hey hey tommy...tommi...tommeeeee

On Aug 15th, Samantha added to her friendster list by the birth of her new gal pal, tommi!! Congrats to Jenni and Mike on creating such a perfect lil girl. I can't wait to meet her and drown her in a ton of kisses and hugs. I actually flew down to LA on the 14th to try and provide love and support to jenni while she was in labor..........oh mama!! I'm so happy I get to have c-sections, because I couldn't do what she did for as long as she did, PHEW! U ROCK! I think my cousin, nury, might, uhm.....well, I think she might hold off as well on the whole baby thing for a few years (she was there too :) ).
Thanks to my cuzzzin for all her support as well, but we did clear out once that epideral was put in!
And again, I'd like to mention how in a perfect world, all my friends would live around ME, because its always about ME and I hate having this distance between all my girlfriends and their precious lil bundles of joy......

yay!! another girl

so happy to find out that we're having another girl!! and yes we're naming her "sabrina victoria". At first Ben had some issues w/ "Sabrina" because of the whole Sabrina and Samantha but I truly love the name and its an extra kick the names just happen to be famous TV witches. :) ..........oh well, they'll have something to tell their therapists when they get older.

everyone keeps asking Ben if he's bummed about not having a boy and his response is:
"Nah, I'm lucky because now I'll have 2 daughters that will spoil me when I get old and senile"............which is totally true. Samantha loves her daddy and will probably have a harder time sharing him with her sis than her mommy. I forgot who said it, but someone jokingly said, "maybe this one will like you!!" Hopefully..........I just hope that she's born healthy and before Dec 31st......YAY!! FOR TAX DEDUCTIONS!!! ...........kidding..........ok not really...........but seriously kidding. I can't wait to meet you Sabrina!!

I'm baaack....plus one!!

Its been a while......I've been busy, tired, distracted.... and any other excuse you think of for not updating. Its crazy, though, because there's tons I want to share but they always seems to be about complaining, and I don't want to come off so negative. So finally I have good news to share with the world, lil Miss Samantha is about to become a "BIG SISTER". The happy event is due to take place on Jan 11, 2006. I have a feeling however, that this baby might make him/herself present this year......who knows. Everyone is super excited and so far things are progressing quite well and above all, healthy.
We've already kicked around a few names. Girl: Sabrina Victoria and Boy: Charles Benjamin. I love the boys name and I think that's set in stone, but Ben doesn't like the name "Sabrina". I absolutely love it and will probably have a hard time giving it up...but who knows, maybe its a boy and we don't need to disagree about it anymore......The big day to find out if its a boy/girl is Aug 29th.

"Indefinite Hiatus"

blink182.jpg Sad, sad sad day. I was shocked to learn that Blink 182 is taking an "indefinite hiatus" so that they can spend more time w/ their families. I'm not saying that they shouldn't and I'm impressed with their priorities but...but....but!!! this is absolutely my fav band of all time. I have my favs for the moment, but Blink is a sentimental fav for me, because it reminds me of when Ben and I first started dating and going to see them in concert together.
The last time I saw them was w/ No Doubt which was really cool (YAY, Jenni was w/ us!!) but I swore the next time I saw Blink was gonna be front row center and not on the hillside watching them on my tippy toes thru binoculars in below freezing weather. And now? how long am I to wait? NO "see ya later" tour, not even a small club tour? nothing? GEEZ even Cher's been doing her farewell tour for the past 3 yrs!!! I'll miss you BLINK!

She's 2 today!!

shes2.jpg I can't believe it, she's 2 years old already. The time flies by in a blink of an eye. It literally feels like just yesterday I was pregnant, and counting down the days till I met my lil samantha. I miss being pregnant (I know Candy is BIG TIME rolling her eyes this very second :) )..........
This morning, we woke samantha up w/ 2 candles lit in a brownie (thanks Kim for making them!!), and a bouquet of balloons, singing "Happy Birthday". She blew out the candles perfectly and was so happy to play w/ her balloons. The look on her face was priceless. Then Ben called her later on in the morning and had a full blown conversation w/ her on the phone!!! She's growing up too fast, but looking darn cute doing it!

The Cabin Rocks!

cabin1.jpg I know, this is the cutest picture ever.....Samantha had a blast hanging out at the cabin w/ her buddy Hannah and the doggies. There was so much snow on the ground and the weather was awesome. Unfortunately, as per usual, I hadn't bought the appropriate attire for my lil one so she didn't have the boots/pants to play in the snow, but next time for sure. I took advantage of being up in the mountains and went skiing with Jeff and have a fabuloso time!!
OH can you tell Samantha is crying a little?....maybe its because she feels bad for her mommy for blowing out her knee... Yup, I fell on some ice and completely strained the tendons on the inside of my knee. I might need surgery or maybe just physcial therapy. Either way I'm super bummed that I can't kickbox/run/dance like I was doing for a while....

jenmike.jpg SO VERY VERY HAPPY HAPPY to Jen and Mike for pro-creating!!! You're baby is already guaranteed to be very hot, have an AMAZING talent in music and and and an even better sense of style. I can't wait to meet him/her and shower her/him w/ tons of kisses, clothes (the normal kind ;) ) , and stories about when mommy and me use to do those things that never happened in and after college.........never happened!! I'm pleading the 5th!" Goodness how we all grow up!

And the absolute best part of all of this is that the baby is due AUG 14th!!! (Jenni's mom's bday.....aww :wiping tears:)

Partying in SAC....

girlsb.jpg

Can you tell? I had a blast... I'm sure the drinking had a lot to do with it and the fact that I didn't have drive at all (Candy picked me up in SJ!!!) was a major factor as well, but just hanging out and club hopping (uhmmm....not by choice, we HAD TO CLUB HOP) made it all worthwhile. Of course I look at these pics and wish I could commit to an exercise/diet program, but I refuse to stress on that anymore......VIVA LA JLO (meaning a lil junk in the trunk never hurt anybody). The girls were making fun of me, cuz I was super nervous to meet new kids from SAC...."I'm shy" I told them and they looked at me like I was crazy. But I am shy!! It's just that after a couple shots of tequila, a couple coronas and a couple of whatever else was being mixed, makes me the opposite of shy :).....good times.

Next day missed Samantha tons, so was extra happy/anxious to get home. Thanks for a great nite guys!!

Bad hair day....

bedhead.jpg So what's considered "being late to work"? My hours are from 7:30a to 4pm. Does that mean that I have my coffee in hand and my computer is up and roaring to go at 7:30a? I'm in the parking lot by 7:30a? or I hit my desk by 7:30am? The reason I ask is that it takes a good 5min for my computer to get to the desktop. So in that 5min, I grab my coffee, talk to my co-workers, maybe even clean up around my office area. But sometimes its past the 5min and its actually taken me 10min.
Additionally I don't understand the emphasis of being on time to work, when I NEVER EVER take a normal lunch.......ok, maybe rarely. But more times than not I'm at my desk and will grab something to eat, wolf it down then continue working....that'll take 15min, tops. I've never been told I'm late, but I'm starting off this new year's right and would like to just "do better". My goals are to get up early enough to actually take the time to do my hair/makeup and maybe, just maybe eat a decent breakfast. We'll see how it works out, so far I'm 1 1/2 for 3 this week :)

Go Greased Lightning...

greasebkgd05.jpg For Christmas, Ben bought 2 orchestra seat tickets to the broadway production of Grease and needless to say the production was fabulous. I became a loyal fan at the tender age of 7...which means I really did not understand how sex infused the story was till about 17 (I was a late bloomer), so I took much joy in the singing and dancing and proudly knew the words to "We Go Together" within 2-3 times of watching the movie.
